Demo Submission

No record company ever accepts UNSOLICITED demo submissions, either from the artist directly, or from an attorney or agent. In such instance, it will be returned unopened or trashed. However, you must understand that most entertainment attorneys do not "shop" demos, we only "submit" them.

You must first must speak with someone with authority at a label, usually from the A&R department, who is willing to accept your demo submission (NOT a secretary or receptionist). Take down their name, address & phone number. It is at this point that you hire an entertainment attorney to submit the demo to the label on your behalf. Usually labels require submissions to be made by an attorney or agent. That's when you contact !
